The main advantages of PHE

The plate heat exchanger (PHE) has been highly developed since the new era. It has been widely applied to various industries due to its high efficiency, energy saving and environmental friendly.
The main advantages of PHEs are listed:
1: High efficiency and low heat waste
The heat exchanging rate could reach its peak of 6000W/m2K under the best condition and 3000-4000W/m2K under general conditions, which is 3 to 5 times than shell and tube heat exchangers. There are no shunts in PHE so that all the liquid flows in turbulence with plate waves and exchanges the heat adequately. The heat exchanging area is only 1/3 to 1/4 of that in shell and tube heat exchangers during the same heat exchanging process.
2: Less area occupied and lighter weight
PHE has no requirements to extra space except its own. The thickness of plate for PHE is only 0.6 to 0.8mm. The occupied area and weight is 80% less than shell and tube heat exchangers.
3: Low fouling ratio
The advanced design for PHE avoided the blind section which causes inadequate turbulence. With advanced design the fouling is difficult to exist. This technique guarantees good heat exchanging behavior.
4: convenient repair and cleaning
The plates of PHE are assembled with fastened bolts. When the plates need cleaning, we just loosen the fastened bolts to dismount.
5: Broad adaptability
    The equipment can work under 180℃ and 2.0MPa pressure and be adapted to heating, cooling, heat recycling, condensing, food sterilization, etc. It has obvious economic efficiency in low end heat recycling. The plates can adapt to corrosively conditions, too.
